My Little Italian Diary – Italia in Miniatura

Day 2, Part 1
Hi loves! I hope you all had a lovely week and will have a wonderful weekend ahead.

After waking up in Rimini, getting ready and having breakfast we got ready for our trip to San Marino.

Since I wasn’t met with the whole trip plan very well, I was surprised when our bus stopped in front of Italia in Miniatura. By it’s name, I could guess it would be a park with miniature replicas of the famous Italian buildings. When I got a park map, it actually reminded me a lot of how Disneyland is organised, just smaller.

Once we got inside, I noticed that the park still had a Halloween vibe. Huge spiders could be seen as a decoration on a Florence Cathedral and inside of the Colosseum. After roaming around through the famous Italian buildings, I decided to climb the miniature Alps.

Behind the Alps, I found out that Italia in Miniatura doesn’t only consist of Italian monuments, but overall some of the European most important ones, too. There is a miniature Eiffel Tower, St. Paul Cathedral, Neuschwastein Castle and many more. Next to the Europe in miniature there is a tiny zoo, but all I could see were parrots.

If any of you plan on visiting Italia in miniatura, I would suggest you not to come in the morning because then you wouldn’t be able to experience everything this park has to offer. Sailing down the Grand Canal in miniature Venice, driving on miniature roads or any of the extreme rides are the experience you cannot miss!
