Weekend in Wien – Shopping

Day 1

Hi loves!

I hope you all are doing well. I am sorry for the inactivity in the past few months. During my vacation in February, I spent one wonderful weekend in Wien.

Upon arriving, we have firstly decided to visit Parndorf and do the shopping. As most of you know, I am a shopping addict, I can confidently say this is one of the best malls I have ever been to and I visit it often. I spent a few hours shopping in a pleasant atmosphere surrounded by a wide variety of luxurious brands before deciding to have a healthy meal in Nordsee. As always, I ordered a salad with tuna fish and mozzarella in a crispy bowl, which not only looks brilliant – but tastes delicious, too! After shopping we went for a walk to Belvedere. Beautiful entrance through the gardens towards the palace took my breath away just like the first time I saw them. After a long day, we got back to the hotel in a huge, modern and comfortable room preparing for pool and sauna which are just two of the amazing facilities this hotel has to offer.

Dresden, Germany

January 2, 2018

Arriving in Dresden in the early morning we decided to enjoy our morning coffee at Altstadt Centre on the breathtaking view on the unique designed Frauenkirche – the largest Lutheran Church in Europe. After some wonderful time in an amazing atmosphere we have decided to begin the walking tour and meet this charming city. Sweets shops in Dresden sell chocolate in fabulous boxes which are later put in souvenir Dresden bags so I could not resist buying one. Exploring the Centre of Dresden I have noticed that it’s streets are full of cute shops which sell wooden old-fashioned objects. Due to the fact that it was getting colder every hour, we have decided to go to the biggest mall in Dresden called Altmarkt-Galerie where I ate croissants and later the most delicious fries with tartar sauce I have ever tried!

Dresden is very peaceful, there aren’t many people in cafes, restaurants and around the city nor during the day neither during the evening or night. It is a perfect place for a relaxing holiday in order to get away from everyday life and stresses. However, if you are the way I am – always seeking for adventure and new things to find out, do and learn, this wouldn’t be a place for you. Luckily, I do my best to enjoy every second no matter which city I’m visiting.

Adventures in Berlin

January 1st, 2018

First day of 2018 was beautiful and sunny in Berlin! Our plan for the 1st January was to go to the part of Berlin called Charlottenburg, where we drank cappuccino in the biggest coffee mugs I have ever seen! While enjoying our coffee we had a stunning view on the Emperor William Memorial Church which was still surrounded by Christmas Market, and you could still feel the holiday spirit despite the fact that Christmas had passed. After coffee, we had decided to walk through the Christmas Market and eat traditional German sausages. While visiting Germany, you can’t miss out on trying the most delicious sausages in the world! Since it was too cold outside, we got in Hauptbahnhof in search of at least one store that works and, to our surprise, Douglas was open. After buying some extra belated Christmas gifts, we had returned to Alexanderplatz where we enjoyed non-alcoholic cocktails in one of the fanciest cafe-restaurants I have ever been to in the glorious atmosphere.

Orthodox Christmas Eve & Christmas

Hi everyone!

First of all, Merry Christmas to all the Orthodox Christians.

Since my mother is a Catholic and my father is an Orthodox, I get to celebrate both Catholic and Orthodox Christmas. I had an amazing Christmas Eve. I have firstly gone to the Church of Saint Sava, which is one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world. After visiting one of the most monumental buildings in Belgrade, we have decided to spend sometime relaxing at the cafe which has a breathtaking view on the Church. What was interesting about the coffee is that, instead of having to add sugar, inside of the cup you either get Nutella or white chocolate! At home, we traditionally set the table and enjoyed the rest of the evening while watching one of my favourite Christmas movies – Polar Express.

In the morning, my mother made česnica which is a round loaf of bread and it is a Serbian tradition for Christmas. Just like every other year, we have celebrated Christmas in Hotel Moskva eating Schwarzwald cake, drinking fruit teas and mulled wine. In a great atmosphere, we enjoyed the drinks, classy interior and a stunning view on the centre of Belgrade.

I hope you all had an amazing day loves!
