My Little Italian Diary – San Marino

Day 2, Part 2

Hi loves!

I am sorry I have been inactive in the past few weeks. I will write a special blog explaining the reason why. Today’s blog post is about San Marino.

When I first heard ‘San Marino’ I honestly imagined a place similar to Nice, France – full of casinos, fabulous restaurants and shops. However, once I had arrived I realised that San Marino is everything the opposite of what I had imagined. San Marino is the capital of the Republic of San Marino and it is situated high up on a mountain top. It is surrounded by a wall and towers which have a spectacular view of the surrounding countryside. Walking through the streets of San Marino I remembered the old-fashioned long streets in Cinque Terre which looked almost exactly the same – filled with souvenir shops and classy restaurants. After admiring the breathtaking view from the centre of the city and taking some pictures, we decided to explore San Marino while looking for a restaurant where we will have lunch.

I felt like I was in a fairytale when I saw a street filled with white statues, benches and colourful flowers.

We found a fantastic restaurant for lunch, ambiance and a stunning view, conjured up a magical afternoon as we looked down on the countryside and the mountains surrounding this city.

The time flies when you’re having fun and soon it was time to leave this brilliant city back to our hotel in Rimini and get ready for the next adventure – Florence.

In San Marino I wore black elastic pants which I matched with a grey shirt. I tucked in the shirt so it shapes my body. I again wore my favourite black ankle boots and a brown middle sized bag in which all my needs during the travel can fit. This outfit can be both dressy and casual depending on the lipstick colour you choose – a cute light pink lipstick for the day to the night with red or any darker lipstick shade.
